Doing our part to dismantle unit violence and negativity by providing a support system for our incarcerated friends
The Friend of a Friend Project is designed to help dismantle housing unit negativity and violence through collective support for incarcerated individuals. Often, lack of support or connection to the outside world can result in our incarcerated friends cultivating a negative or violent environment within their housing units. We can combat this by fostering connections and building bridges of empathy and understanding. Each month participants exchange two (2) semi-anonymous handwritten letters with inmates, gaining a new friend each month. These connections remind us of our shared humanity and work towards a more compassionate world. Join us in making a lasting impact through the power of connection.
